EVENTS

It's been almost a week since I was dispatched from hospital and I'm feelin' WONDERFUL. Thank you for all your prayers and support while I was in hospital, they surely contributed to my recovery.

I was let out of hospital a day earlier than expected and I didn't have any narcotic painkillers like morphine inserted into my drip for the first night which has never happened to a patient before, so I'm told, so thank you so much guys!!!

The first thing I had to go through was paperwork and putting identification tags on me. After that I met my doctors and surgeons and they got me into a hospital gown and onto a trolley.
It was so cool, they wheeled me through all these corridors like in the movies, into the anesthetic room and the doc tried to distract me with small talk while he injected the anasthetic in, I must say it feels strange to be conked out in a few minutes...

After 5 hours of surgery, I woke up with both my parents next to me in recovery. I was totally high from the anesthetic and asked the nurse all these stupid questions.
After my night in intensive care, the nurses at the children's ward wheeled me to my room.
The first few days were pretty bad; I didn't feel like doing anything and felt like a fat sore lump. The nurses had to help me turn over every few hours which was pretty painful. I was given this button I could press to inject myself with morphine for the pain.

I got so many visitors like family it was just lovely having them in the room and talking. I have yet to get through all the chocolate I got from all of them
Most of my friends from school came to visit as well YOU GUYS ARE SO AWESOME
They came armed with star shaped post-it notes and covered the wall with all these messages like "feed me" and "NGOC IS TALLER AND SEXIER" They also got me a super awesome batman card and comic book and a cell phone to contact them while I'm in bed. You guys are so thoughtful I can't live without you guys!!!

So right now I'm confined in bed popping pills that make me sleepy. I can walk a little and most of my trips walking are usually to the bathroom. I can't squat and pick stuff up but I've become more skilled in picking up things with my toes
